Morning Awakening
In Chiang Mai, Thailand, my photography became a path to self-realization through "Photography with Awareness." Drawn to the aliveness of plants and flowers on the city streets, I spent hours capturing their beauty with a cinematic, artistic approach. This intense connection triggered a transformative Kundalini awakening—an amazing yet terrifying rebirth that deepened my bond with nature. My perception shifted, and my photographic practice evolved through an altered state of consciousness, reflecting a perfume exchange of high vibrations. "Morning Awakening" documents this spiritual journey, showcasing the often-overlooked forms of life in their man-made environment. Like us, these plants and flowers—nature in a man-made world—strive to thrive, evolving with resilience amid the city’s challenges.
Marble Mountains
The Marble Mountains, near Hoi An, Vietnam, are a sacred Buddhist destination known for their pagodas and marble sculptures, now crafted from imported stone to preserve the landscape. After a spiritual awakening, I returned to this region to document its "marble village," where artisans create statues reflecting cultural and religious beliefs. Through a cinematic lens, I captured marble as a living form and metaphorical rock, highlighting the man-made nature of both sculptures and convictions. "Marble Mountains" explores this evolution, blending humour, rawness, and reverence to reveal the hardships and divinity within us all. Like these statues, we too are shaped by our creations—yet hold the potential to transform and become divine through our deeper selves.

Street Nature
From Bangkok to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), "Street Nature" takes a cheeky twist on "street food," playfully exploring man-made representations of nature in urban spaces. With a cinematic, unconventional lens, I captured temples, streets, zoos, parks, playgrounds, and botanical gardens—where lion statues guard sacred spaces, iguanas linger in captivity, pig-shaped cakes mimic real animals, and plastic penguin bins stand in for the wild. Through "Photography with Awareness," I documented these scenes with humor and heart, revealing the artificial beauty of city life. "Street Nature" invites you to laugh at the irony of nature’s urban presence, reimagined by human hands. In these cityscapes, nature becomes a man-made illusion—yet its spirit persists, whispering resilience through our creations.
Traces of Transit
"Traces of Transit" captures the essence of a transformative journey, both externally and internally. Shot with colour film negative on locally acquired films from South East Asia, this photographic project uniquely unfolds. The films, unprocessed for eight years in the region's humidity, manifest a distinctive roughness, marked by traces and imprints when I processed them this year. In 2015, during a transit from Bangkok to Corsica, these latent images were taken. A personal chronicle unfolds—initially dark and reflective of inner turmoil in Bangkok, transitioning to the sunlit landscapes of Corsica, mirroring a newfound happiness and strength eight years later. This project transcends mere visuals, embodying the dual narrative of physical transit and the profound metamorphosis from darkness to light, aptly titled "Traces of Transit".

Billy Brown Jr
met Billy Brown Jr at Brick Lane flea market in East London while working there at weekends and studying photography during the week. A local character cared for by the council, Billy had lived many lives—as a boxer, musician, drug smuggler, nightclub owner, and more. Captivated by his intensity, I began documenting his life intimately in his flat, capturing his moods and personalities through a cinematic lens. My first major project, "Billy Brown Jr," was exhibited at the Old Truman Brewery gallery in Billy’s neighbourhood, where he proudly shared it with everyone. Sadly, Billy passed away soon after—a sweet man who loved milk and honey, always saying, "I love you baby!".
SEA
"SEA," short for Southeast Asia, evokes dreams of travel and the unknown, inspired by the French saying "prendre la Mer"—to embark on a great journey. Having grown up in Brittany on France’s west coast, sailing and living by the sea, the title resonates deeply with me. Drawn by familial ties to the region, I began exploring SEA in 2009, later moving there from London in 2013. I captured the roughness of this land —mirroring my own struggles and dysfunction, which later led to insomnia. This series reflects my search for self through photography, ending with a waterlily about to bloom, marking the beginning of something new, an awakening.

Eva Cambodia
Eva Cambodia" was her Facebook name. I met Eva one evening at the Heart of Darkness, an LGBT bar on Street 51 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital. New to Cambodia and navigating a difficult time in my life, I was intrigued by Eva, a ladyboy who lived as a boy by day and a ladyboy by night, yearning to embrace her true identity full-time. She mirrored my own struggles in many ways. Being a ladyboy in Cambodia is less accepted than in Thailand, making her a troubled yet kind soul. We spent much time together, and I captured her story of culture, identity, and intimacy.
Kennedy Town
In 2009, I spent a month in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong Island, on holiday with my Hong Kongese girlfriend to meet her family—my first visit to HK. It was a time of change, with more mainland Chinese settling in, rapidly transforming the area. As a photography student, I captured this personal journey through a cinematic documentary and artistic photography lens, using a small point-and-shoot ‘tin camera’ and mostly outdated film, resulting in distinct colour casts. This early project features photos of people, places, buildings, and the captivating daily life of HK.

Jungle Wandering
Located near Da Nang, Vietnam, the Monkey Mountain—a rare coastal rainforest—became my refuge during the 2020-2021 pandemic. Through "Photography with Awareness," I wandered its trail-less jungle, surrounded by lush trees, rocks and vines, finding a haven away from society’s dysfunctions. Hours spent in solitude reenergised and inspired me, capturing nature’s quiet beauty in this hidden gem. "Jungle Wandering" reflects this rejuvenating journey, a lighter exploration of nature’s embrace. In a world of man-made chaos, these forests whisper renewal—inviting us to pause, reconnect, and find purification in nature’s enduring spirit.
Editorials
This section showcases my work as a full-time photojournalist and staff photographer for the Khmer Times in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A daily English- and Khmer-language newspaper, the Khmer Times is published both in print and online. I covered diverse assignments—breaking news, feature stories, politics, business, sports, arts, events, and travel—collaborating with international and local reporters. It was thrilling to explore the city, discovering fascinating people, events, places, and the vibrant local Khmer culture through my lens.

Here is a selection of my digital and film photography work. These projects also exist in book form, which includes a more extensive collection of images from each project.
